Celebrate the words and stories of women with the Dear Damsels Annual 2020

Bringing together some of our favourite pieces of the past twelve months, the DD Annual 2020 is a joyous, creative, heartfelt collection of writing by women, as well as a look back over a year spent in the company of DD.

Full of personal essays, short stories, poetry and everything in between, this print issue also contains original photography and illustration. It’s our way of celebrating the Dear Damsels collective, and we hope you love reading it as much as we loved making it.

Dear Damsels is an online platform and yearly print publication sharing the words and stories of women. Since setting up online in January 2016, we’ve published over 200 female writers, opened up the conversation on over 45 themes (and counting), hosted numerous events, published three print annuals and our first paperback, Let Me Know When You're Home . Our aim was to create a space where women could come together online, use their voice, and get a resounding response back – that’s why we describe DD as: your words, your stories, and your collective.
